The David Manley Awards are run and managed by a diverse group of companies and individuals who have come together to support the ideas and qualities of a man who left his mark on the world.
This unique award programme run in David’s memory, rewards emerging arts, business and social entrepreneurs with the ‘Gift of Time’ from some of the country’s leading experts in key business fields.
The overall winner will receive over €100,000 worth of services and support, along with €10,000 in cash.

2009 Winners

The overall winner of the 2009 David Manley Emerging Entrepreneur Awards were RendezVu, who were nominated by NovaUCD and have developed a ‘gaming approach’ to learning languages . Paul and Garrett from RendezVu were presented with the Award by An Tanaiste Mary Coughlan T.D and Dr. Chris Horn at a ceremony in the RHA Gallery on Thursday, 21st January. They also received sponsorship and mentoring worth in excess of €100,000, as well as a cash prize of €10,000
Awards were also presented to the Arts Entrepreneur Category Winner THISISPOPBABY and Social Entrepreneur Category Winner PPD - The Psychological Centre.

The first ever Media Award was presented to John Murray of RTE for championing the spirit of entrepreneurship through his work. Pictured above are Dan Halliwell of MediaMarket (sponsors of the Media Award), John Murray and Dr. Chris Horn.
